Efforts of NGO for education of the disabled
children
  Disabled children are those who cannot carry on with their life as normal kids, they are different in lacking
some thing. These disabilities can be of any type physical, mental, economical and social. The disabled children are a ignored
a lot especially in the country like India where resources are limited. We can also say that we lack vision towards these
children who are some times abandoned by their own parents due to poverty or by society. These children who lack normalcy
are left to themselves without any help or support. Most of such children are born out of poverty, our slums are full of such
children who are deprived of their basic rights, and they are left without food and shelter, no body to care for them. The
disabled children are considered a burden by their parents; family as well as the society in a country like India where the
major root cause of every problem is raising population we pay less attention towards the health and education of the disabled
children, which is otherwise their basic right. The rising prices are another strong reason with parents to abandon their
innocent children. The poor people in slums have no sense of living, because of lack of education they don't know the importance
of health and drawbacks of the rising population, they think more children means more income but doing this they lack in quality,
the children born are disabled and are not even able to carry themselves.
Who thinks for these disabled kids who are disable from their birth due to poor health or are made disabled due to some incidents,
many natural disasters like earthquakes, floods, etc make kids deprived of every thing, their belonging, their parents and
lead to a disability. Our country to its bad luck face natural disasters every year and every year thousands of children are
left disabled and deprived. One such recent disaster was tsunami that swept the dreams of hundreds of children along, not
only in India but also in Indonesia , Sri Lanka and other affected countries. They are left without their homes, parents and
a decent life. Humanity is really touched by such disasters, we all feel concerned but very few of us do something genuine
for them.
 Many NGOs are working for the disabled children especially in the time of crises. Our NGOs believe that the disabled and deprived
children too have the right to live; they should be taken care of and loved. Ours is a NGO, which is working for such deprived
children in the field of health, education and sports. Our NGO is constantly striving for the education of disabled children,
The NGO supports the schools which work for such children, free education and books, uniforms etc are provided to the disabled
lot by our NGO who believes that all children have right to basic education. So it promotes the free and compulsory education.
The NGO helps in opening special schools for the disabled children where their needs are taken care of by trained faculty.
Our NGO also supports the orphanages economically to provide better facility to the abundant children. Our NGO provides scholarships
to the deserving students who wish to get higher education; vocational education is specially stressed by the NGO. To engage
more and more people in to the NGO working our NGO honors people, institutes, and schools etc who work remarkably for the
disabled children.
To educate disabled children is not the sole agenda of our NGO we consider that we have to catch the problem from roots for
this it is very important that we should educate the poor people in slums about the heath and population control; they need
to be taught about caring the disabled children. We would not succeed in our mission unless we train and educate the slum
people. We need to make our children self-dependent in spite of their disability, so that they can support themselves and
